System Engineer – Cloud & Systems Administrator

About the role

The Systems/Cloud Administrator will manage both AWS cloud services and on‑premises infrastructure for our Rochester office. You will ensure the environment is secure, up‑to‑date, and reliably backed up while supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Document, maintain, and support network and server configurations.
• Set up, support, and maintain the AWS environment.
• Install, patch, and upgrade Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Configure and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi hosts.
• Maintain SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Document and manage Active Directory, firewalls, SAN, and backup solutions.
• Perform system backups, recovery, and monitoring.
• Execute other assigned duties related to infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience administering cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server installation, patching, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with AWS services.
• Solid experience with Linux and open‑source utilities.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Administration, Networking, or a related field.
