System Administrator – CSE III (Union Position)

About the role

Aetos Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled System Administrator (CSE III) to manage and maintain its IT infrastructure. This hands‑on, union‑represented salaried position requires deep technical knowledge, strong problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to lead projects independently.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test, and oversee system administration for network applications supporting customer security requirements.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to monitor and implement security principles and standards.
• Advise management and technical teams on IT security applications.
• Support system audits in line with industry security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a NASA background investigation.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug testing.

Required skills

• Patch and vulnerability management.
• Troubleshooting of applications, end‑user devices, servers, and databases.
• Networking concepts: VLANs, firewalls, subnets, DNS, IPv4.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Device configuration and installation (desktops, servers, DCs, PDUs, UPS).
• Scripting with PowerShell.
• Backup solutions, Maximo, ServiceNow.
• Automation tools.
• Microsoft Windows OS and Linux.
• SIEM and flaw remediation tools.
