SWME Project Manager – Space Systems

About the role

Join Oceaneering as a SWME Project Manager supporting NASA on the JETS II contract. You will work in the Survival and Thermal Systems section, contributing to human spaceflight and deep‑space exploration programs while ensuring services exceed standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform project management for a spacesuit water membrane evaporator development project.
• Manage systems, project, test and logistics engineering efforts.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting and cost‑estimating support and monitor cost performance.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and project schedule.
• Oversee creation of procedures, work instructions and process flows.
• Manage project risks and opportunities following a structured process.
• Interface with NASA personnel, vendors and inter‑organizational disciplines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in complex spacesuit or thermal control systems development.
• Experience leading engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work independently.
