Supply Chain Quality Manager – Remote (Orange County, CA)

About the role
Airbus Commercial is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Manager to support on‑time delivery and quality of standard parts from suppliers and their sub‑tiers. The role is based remotely in Orange County, CA, with regular travel to supplier sites.
Key responsibilities
- Work onsite at allocated supplier locations at least three days per week.
- Ensure maturity and robustness of suppliers' manufacturing and supply‑chain processes to avoid failures.
- Drive continuous improvement of supply‑chain performance for delivered products.
- Review supplier capacity and capability to support ramp‑up periods and Airbus industrial objectives.
- Monitor and analyse performance through KPIs, audits, assessments and corrective‑action plans.
- Organise supplier ramp‑up capacity assessments and manage major industrial risk mitigation.
- Initiate and follow recovery plans with suppliers when delivery performance degrades.
- Manage preventive and corrective action plans to achieve expected results.
- Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders such as MFT leaders, programs and final‑assembly lines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in procurement operations, supplier monitoring, auditing or development.
- Knowledge of quality regulations, core tools, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and international management system standards.
- Familiarity with QMS, auditing, IPCA+, CCP tools, risk management and continuous‑improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma).
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification and CPIM certification are desirable.
