Supply Chain Planner / Buyer – Manufacturing

About the role

Schneider Electric is expanding its new medium‑voltage Engineer‑to‑Order campus in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. The Supply Chain Planner Buyer will balance supply and demand, manage material flow, and support production scheduling to ensure product availability across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain MRP balance for raw materials, components, sub‑assemblies and finished goods.
• Coordinate production scheduling to meet operational targets.
• Proactively resolve back‑orders, shortages and supply constraints.
• Create and reschedule manufacturing and purchase orders.
• Execute daily actions on MRP messages using SAP MD04 or similar tools.
• Support upstream and downstream supply‑chain flows to improve overall performance.
• Participate in SIM Cycle 2 and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply‑chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience buying direct materials, components or production‑related items.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management and material planning concepts.
• Proven ability to work with suppliers to manage deliveries and resolve shortages.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain, business, logistics or a related field preferred.
