Supplier Quality Engineer – Electronic Rack Components

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for leading the claims process for Electronic Rack (ER) components, acting as the primary technical liaison between external suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to ensure defect‑free material delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own supplier complaint and chargeback processes, driving accountability for quality failures.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using structured problem‑solving methods (8D, Shainin, 5‑Why, Fishbone).
• Collaborate with engineering and customer quality teams on cross‑functional failure analyses.
• Ensure external suppliers use Bosch digital portals (SupplyOn, IQS) and comply with system requirements.
• Coordinate containment, sorting and rework activities when defective material is detected.
• Monitor and manage low‑performing suppliers through escalation programs.
• Review, coordinate and process concessions and deviations for supplier components.
• Verify PPAP documentation and formal component releases before production.
• Review and clarify technical drawings and specifications.
