Supplier Development Manager - Customer Services

About the role

The Aftermarket Supplier Development Manager supports Airbus Customer Services by leading supplier development missions across the United States. Reporting to the Head of Supplier Management in America and the Head of Airbus Aftermarket Supplier Development in Europe, the role requires extensive travel to supplier sites and close collaboration with supply chain and quality managers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier development projects to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance for all Airbus Customer Services segments.
• Coordinate and execute supplier audits, capacity assessments, and industrial maturity evaluations.
• Identify and mitigate industrial risks such as volume fluctuations and organizational changes.
• Facilitate transparent communication of supplier performance and development plans with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement operations, supplier monitoring, or auditing; 10 + years preferred.
• Qualified Assessor/Auditor with knowledge of Part 21 and Part 145 regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.; willingness to travel >50%.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt/Black Belt certification preferred).
• CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) certification.
• Auditing and risk‑management expertise, including 8D/9S problem‑solving.
• Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part 21 quality regulations.
