About the role

The Supervisory Customer Liaison Specialist serves as the Branch Chief and primary integrator of customer relationships for DLA Disposition Services. This senior position leads a dispersed team of Military Service Liaisons, ensuring that global customer requirements are met through effective support services and outreach programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑term and long‑range customer outreach goals, plans, and schedules.
• Supervise geographically dispersed Military Service Liaisons assigned to the service‑level logistics headquarters.
• Determine and analyze customer requirements to align with Department of War needs.
• Manage, coordinate, and direct customer outreach programs while measuring satisfaction.
• Lead staff in innovative problem‑solving and process improvement initiatives.
• Assess emerging customer initiatives and drive organizational change to enhance support.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Secret‑level security clearance.
• Completion of Supervisory Certification Program.
• One year of specialized experience at the GS‑12 level or equivalent, including demilitarization principles and customer communication management.
• Compliance with Selective Service registration requirements.
• Ability to work under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exempt status.
