About the role
This ten‑week summer internship gives sophomore students hands‑on experience in the Operations and Resiliency Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, supporting critical payment‑system processing and business‑continuity functions.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Operations and Resiliency Group in daily processing of payment systems.
- Assist cash and custody, law‑enforcement, and business‑continuity teams with data collection and reporting.
- Perform basic data analysis to help identify trends and support decision‑making.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects that enhance the resilience of on‑site operations.
- Attend learning events and briefings with senior leaders to understand the Federal Reserve’s role in the financial system.
Required profile
- Strong academic record with evidence of excellent performance.
- Passion for data analysis and interest in business operations, banking or economics.
- Commitment to public service and the mission of the Federal Reserve.
- Detail‑oriented with strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
