Summer Internship – Supervision Group (Junior)

About the role

The Summer Intern position in the Supervision Group offers undergraduate juniors a ten‑week, full‑time, on‑site experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Interns join a cohort of peers, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and contribute to the supervision and regulation of financial institutions in the Second District.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in periodic on‑site examinations of domestic banks and foreign banking organizations.
• Support off‑site financial analysis and surveillance activities.
• Help identify emerging supervisory risks through data review and research.
• Contribute to the development of supervisory policies at the district and system level.
• Collaborate with various functions within the Supervision Group, such as Quality Assurance, Risk Exams, and Consumer Compliance.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate junior pursuing a degree related to finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in banking supervision, financial stability, and public service.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, on‑site environment.
