Summer Internship - Quality Assurance

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is offering a 10‑12 week Summer 2027 internship in its Quality Assurance department at the Mobile, AL manufacturing facility. Interns will work alongside experienced mentors, tackle real‑world problems, and gain hands‑on exposure to aerospace production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Quality team with problem‑solving, lean manufacturing, and six‑sigma projects.
• Learn and apply root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Update visual‑management schemes, metrics, and analysis tools.
• Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits, and foreign‑object‑debris (FOD) levels.
• Assist with compliance topics and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in aerospace, engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to temporarily reside in the Mobile, AL metro area for the internship duration.
• Prior Airbus internship experience is a plus.
