Summer Internship – Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for Manufacturing Engineering Summer Interns to join our team in Kinston, NC. The internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the launch and industrialisation of a new production line, gaining valuable experience in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop rework instructions to address non‑conformities that deviate from the design dossier and coordinate with MAP and Design Office engineers.
• Lead and support projects aimed at enhancing production productivity and overall process improvements.
• Maintain and update processes from a technical standpoint to ensure operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Live within driving distance of Kinston, NC for the duration of the summer internship.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, quality control, and ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork with cross‑functional teams.

• Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
