Summer Internship – Customer Line Operations & Shop Floor Control

About the role

Airbus is offering a 10‑12‑week summer internship in Mobile, AL, where interns join the Customer Line Industrial Integration Team. The role provides hands‑on experience in customer line operations and shop‑floor control within a leading aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a complete understanding of Customer Line Operations and Shop Floor Control (30% of time).
• Support flight‑line safety and flight‑test operations.
• Manage tools, protections and consumables.
• Assist with shop‑floor control routines and GSE maintenance.
• Process facilities requests, SAP and CnB ordering, and follow‑up.
• Support Project Managers with XLR implementation, A320 airline projects, A220 “Road to 150”, digital tool implementation, and operations excellence initiatives (30% of time).
• Contribute to AOP resource and OPEX planning, competency gap assessment, and AOS brick deployment (30% of time).
• Perform additional duties as assigned (10%).

Required profile

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Willingness to reside temporarily in the Mobile, AL area for the internship.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with G‑Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using SAP and handling CnB ordering processes.
• Basic knowledge of project management principles.
