Summer Intern – Supervision Group (Graduate)

About the role

The Graduate Summer Associate Program offers graduate students a ten‑week, full‑time, on‑site internship within the Supervision Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Interns join a cohort, work on real‑world projects, and receive mentorship from experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in periodic on‑site evaluations of domestic and foreign banking institutions.
• Support off‑site financial analysis and surveillance activities.
• Contribute to the identification of emerging supervisory risks.
• Help develop supervisory policy recommendations for the Second District.
• Collaborate with team members across seven functional areas, including Quality Assurance, Risk Exams, and Consumer Compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate student pursuing a degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset and interest in financial regulation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, on‑site environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
