Key responsibilities

• Analyze historical expenditures to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies.
• Assess current management processes across ordering, distribution, and usage tracking, benchmarking against other facilities.
• Develop and propose cost‑reduction strategies such as optimized procurement and waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Create a tracking system to monitor consumption and optimize stock levels.
• Deliver recommendations and implementation guidelines to ensure sustainability of cost‑reduction measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Willingness to temporarily reside in Kinston, NC for the duration of the internship.
• Enrollment in an accredited university program, preferably in IT, Data, Business, Finance, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
