Substitute Violin Teacher (Part-Time)

About the role

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional substitute violin instructor to teach part‑time at Pacific Piano School in San Jose, CA. The role requires in‑person instruction and offers the possibility to advance to a regular teacher position based on performance and demand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide private violin lessons to students of various ages.
• Maintain consistent availability within school hours and step in when regular teachers are absent.
• Ensure punctuality, reliable transportation, and adherence to school policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in violin performance (Master's preferred).
• Experience teaching young musicians and a demonstrated love of teaching.
• Ability to pass a routine background check.
• MTAC membership and/or Certificate of Merit experience preferred.

Required skills

• Strong music background and violin performance expertise.
• Pedagogical knowledge for violin instruction.
