Student Services Leader (K‑12)

About the role

The Student Services Leader supports the safety, well‑being and engagement of students at Fairmont Schools. This field‑based position involves supervising students during recess, lunch, extended day programs and after‑school activities while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and lead activities such as crafts, cooking, art and games to engage students.
• Supervise and discipline students during recess, lunch, Extended Day and Homework Club periods.
• Maintain a safe and productive environment in Study Hall and Homework Club, assisting students with their work.
• Ensure student safety during pick‑up and drop‑off, and respond to any incidents.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and vendors, building warm, authentic relationships.
• Learn and use the names of students and parents to build rapport.
• Uphold high dress standards and follow Fairmont approved uniform guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and a strong attendance and work ethic.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, decision‑making and classroom management.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred; pursuing or holding an AA/BA is a plus.
• Commitment to Fairmont Schools’ values, teamwork and inclusive culture.
• Manage group/classroom environment and prioritize learning objectives.
• Engage clients warmly and authentically, building trust with students, parents and staff.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $18.25.
