About the role
This summer position supports the Thriving Panthers: Psychology Pipeline to Success (TiPPS) project funded by a Title III grant. As a Student Hourly Assistant, you will provide academic guidance, psychosocial support, and resilience skill‑building to fellow students, helping them connect with financial, academic, and career services.
Key responsibilities
- Creation of a mentorship program for peer support
- Piloting and evaluating the mentorship program
- Providing faculty support for Title III initiatives
- Assisting with Title III course evaluation activities
Required profile
- Currently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University with at least nine graduate or six undergraduate credit hours during the work term
- Good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA)
- No prior experience required
- Eligibility for summer employment (enrolled for at least six credit hours in the term)
