Structured Finance Strategy & Business Development Analyst

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for an Analyst to support its Structured Finance business. The role focuses on strategy, business development, market intelligence, and transaction analytics, partnering with senior originators and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the structured finance pipeline, prepare senior‑management summaries, and support opportunity prioritisation and client targeting.
• Track market activity, pricing, terms, structures, competitors and league‑table data using Infralogic and other sources, synthesising key takeaways.
• Analyse P&L, balance‑sheet, distribution activity and RWA/capital, delivering integrated insights for product teams.
• Develop and maintain forward‑looking strategic plans across product portfolios, identifying levers for growth and performance.
• Create polished presentation materials, capability decks and internal read‑outs with executive‑ready formatting.
• Improve recurring reporting and content production through templates, automation and thoughtful use of AI tools.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in structured finance, project/infrastructure finance, leveraged/structured lending, credit, capital‑markets analytics, or a closely related banking role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Infralogic for market and competitor intelligence.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance reporting and automation.
