Strategist, Agent Development – Financial Services

About the role

As an Agent Strategist at Sierra, you will own the end‑to‑end development of AI agents for financial‑services customers, guiding them from pilot to production handling thousands of conversations daily.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle: scope, conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch and continuous iteration.
• Serve as trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, shaping AI strategy and aligning with business goals.
• Partner with customer teams daily, run working sessions, troubleshoot issues and keep builds on track.
• Surface unmet needs from customer work and feed them back to product and research.

Required profile

• Strong customer obsession with experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Excellent communication, persuasive across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strategic problem‑solving in ambiguous environments with strong analytical skills.
• Ownership and delivery track record of multiple high‑visibility projects.
• Genuine interest in financial services and improving end‑customer experience.

Required skills

• Technical aptitude: ability to read API documentation, understand data models and system architecture.
• Experience with AI/LLM agents, evaluation frameworks, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and prompt engineering (preferred).
• Background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent technical experience; MBA or similar business‑tech blend is a plus.
