Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

Radiant, an innovative startup developing portable nuclear micro‑reactors, is looking for a proactive Strategic Sourcing Manager. You will lead the discovery, qualification, and onboarding of new suppliers and manufacturing technologies that support the micro‑reactor program.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential domestic and international suppliers, focusing on niche and emerging capabilities relevant to nuclear‑grade hardware.
• Partner with engineering to translate drawings, specifications, and material requirements into supplier search criteria.
• Lead supplier vetting, capability assessments, risk screening, and technical qualification in coordination with Supplier Development Engineers and Quality Assurance.
• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding, from initial contact and NDA through capability review and entry into the approved supplier base.
• Research emerging manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing and novel joining/forming methods to de‑risk critical components.
• Support new part introduction (NPI) by aligning supplier capabilities with design intent and ensuring reliable, on‑time delivery.
