Strategic Partnerships & Storytelling Assistant

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a motivated intern to support its Strategic Partnerships and Storytelling program in Sacramento. You will help expand community partnerships, secure in‑kind donations, and build a compelling story bank that amplifies survivor voices and strengthens fundraising efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify local businesses, service providers, and foundations that can contribute goods, services, or funding for anti‑trafficking programs.
• Draft outreach emails, meeting requests, and introductory communications to engage prospective partners.
• Track and document donated goods and professional services.
• Assist in preparing Letters of Inquiry, LOIs, and briefing materials for funder meetings.
• Support the creation and maintenance of a regional client story bank for use in fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Required profile

• Strong interest in humanitarian work and anti‑trafficking initiatives.
• Excellent written communication and research abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple outreach activities.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with development and program teams.
