Strategic Partnerships & Storytelling Assistant (Intern)

About the role

The Strategic Partnerships & Storytelling Program Assistant will support IRC Northern California’s anti‑trafficking efforts by building community partnerships, securing in‑kind contributions, and expanding operating support through corporate and foundation outreach. This internship blends relationship‑building, strategic research, and ethical storytelling to amplify survivor voices and strengthen fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify local businesses and service providers that can donate goods or professional services for survivors.
• Draft outreach emails, meeting requests, and letters of inquiry to engage prospective partners and funders.
• Document and track donated goods and services, and assist with reporting.
• Support the creation of a regional client story bank to highlight survivor experiences.
• Assist in preparing briefing materials and scheduling meetings with potential funders.
• Help raise community awareness of anti‑trafficking programming.

Required profile

• Passionate about humanitarian work and anti‑trafficking initiatives.
• Strong interest in nonprofit partnership development and trauma‑informed communications.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development and program teams.
