Strategic Finance Manager

About the role

ClickUp is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to act as the financial business partner for R&D, G&A and Corporate functions. You will own end‑to‑end forecasting, month‑end close and budget‑to‑actual reporting while collaborating with department leaders and the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage expense management, vendor approvals, headcount planning and cloud cost tracking for R&D, and produce variance analysis and leadership reports.
• Drive expense forecasting, headcount planning and month‑end close activities for G&A, including variance analysis and BvA reporting.
• Prepare board, QFR and investor‑ready decks, manage billings actualization and deliver monthly finance readouts to executive leadership.
• Partner with Accounting through soft close, hard close and results review, maintain rolling forecasts and provide variance commentary.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate forecasting workflows, variance commentary and ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of FP&A or strategic finance experience in a high‑growth SaaS/tech environment.
• Proven ability to own multiple cost centers, understand SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, CLTV) and translate operating metrics into financial outcomes.
• Strong business partnering instincts and ability to operate independently across stakeholder groups.
• Experience preparing materials for board, executive and investor audiences.

Required skills

• Enterprise planning tools such as Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan or similar.
• ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Procurement platforms like Coupa.
• Cloud cost tracking tools, e.g., AWS.
• HRIS/ATS systems including Workday, Ashby and Greenhouse.
• AI‑augmented financial modeling and analysis tools.
