Staff Software Engineer, GTM Systems

About the role

Anthropic is building the GTM Systems platform that powers sales, contracting, and lead‑to‑cash transactions. As a Staff Software Engineer you will act as the technical lead for the next evolution of the platform, establishing engineering practices, AI‑assisted development standards, and a robust delivery pipeline that scales with the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture reviews for GTM systems that handle lead‑to‑cash transactions and generate critical data for the organization.
• Design and mature the engineering pipeline, including pull‑request workflow, CI/CD, automated UAT, and production deployment.
• Define shared AI‑assisted development standards and turn individual tool usage into consistent, reviewable practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams outside GTM on shared architectural challenges and platform‑wide tooling decisions.
• Build and guide the agentic tooling that runs on top of the platform, setting patterns for future engineers.
• Trace dependency chains from upstream data sources to downstream quoting and provisioning systems, ensuring design decisions respect those relationships.
• Partner with platform developers to deepen engineering practices and expand safe shipping capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals: disciplined version control, testing, code review, deployment automation, and a bias toward simple designs.
• Experience building and owning a delivery pipeline for a team, not just participating in one.
• Proven ability to lead a team through a step‑change in engineering practice as scope grows.
• Fluent use of AI coding tools and agentic development workflows, with clear views on team‑wide adoption.
