Staff+ Software Engineer – Cybersecurity Products

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Software Engineer to help shape Claude Security, turning cutting‑edge model capabilities into reliable cybersecurity products. You will work across the full stack, from prototype to production, collaborating closely with researchers, product managers, and go‑to‑market teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship user‑facing and backend features for Claude Security.
• Create agent loops, tool integrations, and supporting infrastructure for security offerings.
• Partner with product managers to define scope, prioritize work, and iterate based on user feedback.
• Collaborate with research teams to identify new model capabilities for security use cases.
• Continuously improve product experience through rapid prototyping and testing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, comfortable across the stack.
• Strong product instincts and ability to make trade‑offs quickly.
• Effective communicator who can work with research and market teams.
• Self‑starter who enjoys fast iteration and prototyping.

Required skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
• Experience building distributed systems.
• Knowledge of client‑side terminal applications (preferred).
• Background in cybersecurity product development, incident response, reverse engineering, network analysis, or penetration testing (preferred).
• Familiarity with Claude Code, Claude Managed Agents, or similar AI tooling (preferred).
