Staff Field Solutions Engineer – Hivemind

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Field Solutions Engineer to champion its Hivemind autonomy platform. The role supports technical sales, customer engagements, demonstrations, and capture activities, acting as the primary technical liaison for defense and security customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the customer‑facing technical expert for Hivemind, delivering briefings, demos, and technical interchange meetings.
• Translate mission needs, CONOPs, and integration constraints into credible Hivemind solution concepts.
• Partner with Business Development and Capture teams on RFIs, RFPs, proposals, white papers, and demo scripts.
• Develop and maintain technical sales assets such as capability briefs, solution templates, FAQs, and customer‑specific briefing materials.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Engagement, and Program teams to convey customer requirements, technical risks, and roadmap feedback.

Required profile

• 7+ years in solutions engineering, field applications, technical sales, or related customer‑facing technical roles.
• Strong technical understanding of autonomy, AI‑enabled systems, unmanned systems, and complex defense technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to technical, operational, commercial, and leadership audiences.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally, manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and travel for customer engagements.
