Staff Electrical Engineer – Medical Device

About the role
As a member of an international cross‑functional team, you will work closely with electrical, transducer, system and ultrasound engineers on the development of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) systems.
Key responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design and develop analog and digital PCBAs and FPGA‑based solutions.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams (marketing, hardware, software, catheter design, manufacturing) to refine design requirements for next‑generation IVUS devices.
- Specify and qualify components, equipment and design tools based on cost, availability, reliability and performance.
- Perform testing, debugging and documentation to support transition from design to production.
- Lead verification and validation activities in partnership with Quality and Regulatory teams and assist in transferring designs from R&D to manufacturing.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience designing analog and digital electronics and FPGAs, preferably in medical devices.
- Proficiency with FPGA design tools, schematic capture software, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and emulators.
- Experience with EMC, ESD and signal‑integrity testing to international standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; knowledge of IEC 60601‑1 standards is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a highly matrixed, team‑oriented environment.

- Competitive salary range $114,000 – $182,000 per year.
