Staff Data Scientist – AI & Social Products

About the role

Alpha, the product studio behind Clubhouse, is looking for a Staff Data Scientist to lead its data science function. The role is fully remote within the United States and will shape data strategy, experimentation, and predictive modeling across all product areas.

Key responsibilities

• Own the experimentation framework, define standards, and ensure consistency across squads.
• Drive strategic opportunity sizing and provide data‑driven recommendations to product leadership.
• Lead company‑wide metric strategy and improve data coverage for quarterly and yearly goals.
• Develop and mentor predictive models and machine‑learning solutions, guiding junior data scientists.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as a data scientist with deep expertise in SQL and Python.
• Proven ability to work across the full data pipeline, from troubleshooting pipelines to guiding data engineers.
• Strong product mindset: proactively identify high‑impact questions and translate analysis into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, able to turn messy analyses into actionable insights and build usable dashboards.
