Staff Civil Engineer – Site & Land Development

About the role

Langan is looking for a Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Panama City. You will support the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects across mixed‑use, commercial, residential, educational, and federal sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents such as reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design drawings.
• Utilize reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and geotechnical data to evaluate soil, terrain, and hydrological conditions.
• Recommend innovative approaches to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on assigned tasks and support other duties as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Entry‑level to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, multitasking skills, and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
