Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant supports a complex two‑property portfolio, working closely with on‑site property teams and the corporate accounting group. The role handles the full accounting cycle from general ledger close to property‑level reporting and requires immediate proficiency in Yardi.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for a two‑property portfolio.
• Own the monthly general ledger close, including account analysis, bank reconciliations, journal entries and related research.
• Serve as a hands‑on accounting resource for both on‑site and corporate teams, supporting all accounting functions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and reconcile hospitality operations.
• Assist with quarterly and annual external audits and prepare internal property‑level reporting.
• Record monthly adjusting and accrual entries and support variance analysis in accordance with GAAP.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience on a real‑estate accounting team.
• Accounting or finance degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills.

• Yardi accounting system.
