SRE Azure Cloud Developer

About the role

DPG is seeking a highly experienced Azure Cloud Developer and Site Reliability Engineer to support mission‑critical systems operating in a classified environment. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud‑native platforms and DevOps pipelines within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and modernization of mission systems within Azure‑based cloud environments.
• Assist with architecture, design, integration, and support of build, integration and deployment pipelines optimized for performance and scalability.
• Design and implement cloud‑native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automated configuration management.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tooling to enable rapid, reliable application delivery.
• Leverage Azure platform capabilities and industry best practices to improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineers, mission application teams, and infrastructure engineers to build secure and reliable development environments.
• Integrate security and compliance controls, including identity management, encryption, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
• Support platform operations, system reliability, monitoring, and performance tuning across production environments.
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues within Azure and hybrid Windows environments.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship, active TS/SCI with CI polygraph, and DoD 8570 IAT2 (CompTIA Security+) certification.
• 10‑15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure core services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity).
• Strong background in Windows Server administration and hybrid cloud integration.
• Proven ability to design and deploy infrastructure using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation with PowerShell and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Experience implementing security best practices and working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
