About the role

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies are seeking a senior‑level Technical Program Manager to lead software delivery for new vehicle launches. The role focuses on integrating software with hardware across consumer and commercial vehicle platforms, ensuring high‑quality releases that meet ambitious automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive plans for software‑impacting hardware changes and new software features.
• Align program milestones with software schedules and influence company‑wide timelines.
• Lead software‑hardware integration, acting as the primary liaison for cross‑domain dependencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to guarantee seamless integration and successful vehicle variant launches.
• Prioritize and resolve software issues quickly during development.
• Manage verification test plans tailored to each product variant.
• Provide clear updates to program teams, executive leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate systemic risks to delivery timelines and quality.
• Champion continuous process improvements in the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor other Technical Program Managers and promote best practices.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive Technical or Engineering Program Management experience.
• Proven track record delivering high‑quality software for complex, integrated software‑hardware automotive platforms.
• Strong ability to influence milestones and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
