Sr Indirect Sourcing Specialist

About the role

The Senior Indirect Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing optimal sourcing strategies across all indirect categories. The role partners with global engineering groups, drives cost‑reduction initiatives, and ensures sustainable service improvements while acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect spend, including the Capex Equipment category.
• Lead best‑practice adoption to transform the site into a world‑class sourcing organization.
• Identify and execute cost‑reduction opportunities in collaboration with vendor engineering, buyers, and global sourcing teams.
• Optimize procurement processes using Lean concepts, analytics, e‑sourcing and reverse‑auction tools.
• Conduct RFPs and sourcing events in line with company policies and ensure stakeholder compliance.
• Segment suppliers (strategic, preferred, standard) and manage contracts using dedicated tools.
• Develop annual sourcing business plans that deliver year‑over‑year cost savings and quality improvements.
• Maintain baseline costing models for key commodities and refresh them based on market dynamics.
• Support creation, approval, and enforcement of company‑wide sourcing policies.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in indirect sourcing or procurement.
• Proven ability to influence and advise senior business stakeholders.
• Strong track record of delivering cost‑reduction and service‑improvement projects.
• Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, category management, and supplier segmentation.
• Experience applying Lean methodology and data‑driven analytics to sourcing processes.
