Sr. Electronics Design and Characterization Engineer (InfoConn)

About the role

The Electronics Test and Validation team is responsible for module‑level validation of all RV Tech ECUs. As a senior contributor you will drive design review and hardware characterization for infotainment and connectivity ECUs, ensuring they meet power, signal, RF, and thermal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed verification and characterization test plans for ECU programs, collaborating with reliability, design, RF, and firmware teams.
• Execute bench‑level characterization of power sequencing, multi‑rail behavior, high‑speed interfaces, and integrated radios.
• Lead power‑integrity, RF coexistence, and fault‑behavior testing, correlating results to design intent.
• Provide early feedback to designers on testability, test point access, and instrumentation hooks.
• Write automation scripts and drivers in Python, leveraging AI tools to accelerate test development and data analysis.
• Partner with software engineers to flash firmware, troubleshoot bootloaders, and resolve non‑compliance findings.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in electronics design, characterization, and validation testing.
• Hands‑on experience with high‑bandwidth oscilloscopes, VNAs, BERTs, power supplies, electronic loads, DAQ, SMUs, and spectrum or vector signal analyzers.
• Strong knowledge of power‑ and signal‑integrity fundamentals and RF measurement techniques.

Required skills

• Python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
• Lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes, VNA, BERT, spectrum analyzers, wireless test equipment (LitePoint, R&S, Anritsu).
• AI coding assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Altium Designer, LTspice/PSpice simulation.
• Understanding of automotive communication buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN) and diagnostic protocols.
