Sr Director, Supplier Engineering & Quality

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a senior leader to drive supplier engineering and quality initiatives that support the company’s semiconductor and advanced display equipment portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, strategy development and final operational decisions for supplier engineering.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to align sourcing decisions with overall business strategy.
• Set and drive goals for cost savings, value creation and vendor performance.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal customers and support organizations.
• Develop cost‑reduction initiatives and supply‑base improvement projects.
• Evaluate, qualify and select suppliers based on industry dynamics and market trends.
• Monitor vendor performance, develop scorecards and conduct quarterly business reviews.
• Participate in problem resolution and escalation for vendor performance issues.

Required profile

• Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Systems Engineering degree.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Understanding of Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and commitment to ethical conduct.

What we offer

• Target total cash compensation ranging from $184,000 to $253,000 per year.
• Work locations in Austin, TX and Santa Clara, CA.
