Spring 2027 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Co‑Op

About the role

This Spring 2027 Co‑Op is designed for engineering students who want to contribute to Bosch Charleston’s automotive production lines. You will support output and quality improvements, help close capacity gaps, and develop technical solutions for manufacturing challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development of machine concepts and technical solutions for automotive sector requirements.
• Support engineering projects through concept, design, build, and commissioning phases.
• Prepare and present technical concepts and system architectures for project discussions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing).
• Track technical scope, requirements, risks, schedules, and deliverables.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for engineering standards and processes.
• Potentially support on‑site activities such as customer meetings, trials, and commissioning.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• Strong interest in special machinery, industrial automation, or manufacturing systems, especially in the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with engineering principles, concept development, and system‑level thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD).
• PLC programming.
• HMI design.
