About the role

Join Bosch Charleston’s Logistics Packaging Design & Engineering team for a Spring 2027 co‑op. You will apply academic knowledge to real‑world production challenges, helping improve the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of packaged products.

Key responsibilities

• Support production line optimization by troubleshooting packaging‑related issues on the shop floor.
• Assist with packaging line trials for new materials, designs, or equipment, collecting data and providing feedback.
• Evaluate new packaging materials and components for suitability on existing manufacturing equipment.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to match material specifications to production requirements.
• Identify and propose solutions to reduce packaging waste, scrap, and rework.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives aimed at improving packaging processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, packaging specifications, and performance records.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and R&D teams to implement packaging solutions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering program (or related field).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data.
• Interest in logistics, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a production environment.
