Spray Technician – Fertilizer and Chemical Application

About the role

The Fertilizer Spray Technician provides fertilizer and spray services for Sunrise Landscape’s commercial clients across private and public properties, ensuring compliance with product labels, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fertilizer and chemical applications, including mixing, spreading, and treating insects, diseases, and weeds.
• Prepare daily routes, load tools and chemicals, transport products to client sites, and clean job sites after applications.
• Operate and maintain hose‑and‑reel systems and zero‑turn spray machines, conduct equipment inspections, and keep trucks and trailers clean.
• Adhere to safety protocols, wear required PPE, and deliver professional customer service on client properties.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional spray or fertilization experience.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least three years clean record.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in hot, humid conditions and lift 30+ lb repeatedly.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as part of a team.

Required skills

• Operation of hose‑and‑reel spray equipment.
• Operation of zero‑turn spray machines.
• Reading application rates on product labels and basic math for calibrating spreaders.
