About the role
Alcon is looking for a results‑driven Specialty Equipment Manager to promote and sell high‑value ophthalmic surgical equipment, including the Voyager™ DSLT and Valeda® Light Delivery System, across specialty and general eye clinics in New Jersey. The role is field‑based and focuses on building long‑term relationships with physicians, technicians and administrators to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct face‑to‑face sales of Voyager™ DSLT, Valeda® Light Delivery System and related consumables.
- Promote treatment packages that maximize patient benefit and account value.
- Develop clinic workflow strategies to improve productivity and equipment utilization.
- Identify strategic opportunities within accounts and execute tailored sales plans to exceed targets.
- Deliver product presentations, proposals and hands‑on demonstrations highlighting clinical and economic value.
- Provide post‑sale training, support and ongoing customer service.
- Collaborate with marketing, clinical specialists and service teams to reinforce promotional activities.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records, pipeline updates and customer interactions in Salesforce.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 10 years, associate + 6 years, or M.S. + 0 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in ophthalmology or capital equipment.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
