Specialized Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

Bosch Charleston is seeking a Specialized Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to ensure safe, reliable, and high‑quality operation of production equipment. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace defective parts such as gears, clutches, bushings, shafts, bearings, solenoids, valves, pumps, and direction controls.
• Monitor operations, reduce scrap and rework, audit parts, and adjust equipment to maintain proper setup and quality production.
• Analyze equipment problems, perform repairs, or initiate corrective actions when issues exceed your scope.
• Promote associate suggestions and apply Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) concepts to boost equipment effectiveness.
• Initiate corrective actions for out‑of‑control conditions and train associates on proper machine, tool, and instrument use.
• Reduce setup time and downtime through CIP activities and proper escalation.
• Control parts flow, monitor production quantities, and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Follow plant safety and environmental policies and seek cross‑training opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing gears, bearings, valves, pumps, and related components.
• Ability to monitor production metrics, identify scrap sources, and implement adjustments.
• Commitment to safety, environmental standards, and clean work environments.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and willingness to train peers.
