Software Product Manager IV

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Software Product Manager IV to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of digital solutions for lab operations. The role partners with solution architects, development leads, and lab leadership to drive automation, data integrity, and operational efficiency across its semiconductor and display labs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate a multi‑year product vision and roadmap for lab digital applications, tracking KPIs such as automation, data integrity, cycle time, and user adoption.
• Chair the product governance body, manage change requests, prioritize projects, and act as escalation point for unresolved issues.
• Lead customer discovery with BU stakeholders and LabOps to design and optimize end‑to‑end workflows, scoping MVPs and defining success metrics.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, QA, DevOps, design) to deliver high‑quality releases, manage training, rollout communications, and drive adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of product or program management experience with progressive responsibility.
• Proven experience with lab automation systems and familiarity with lab operations and metrology workflows.

Required skills

• Cloud‑native architectures on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Microservices design and development.
• Enterprise integration patterns.
• Lab automation systems expertise.
