Software Engineering Intern - Connected Systems

About the role

As a Connected Systems intern at RV Tech, you will contribute to next‑generation vehicle features such as remote commands, OTA updates, real‑time telemetry, and fleet management tools. You will work on backend services, integration layers, or connectivity infrastructure that keep vehicles reliably connected to the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software components within distributed or connectivity systems.
• Build and test backend services that process vehicle telemetry and remote commands at fleet scale.
• Develop event‑driven, distributed systems using technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, or Redis.
• Support connectivity infrastructure, including messaging and communication layers linking vehicle, mobile app, and cloud.
• Work with cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS (EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, IoT Core).
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and debugging sessions.
• Contribute to test automation and validation for integration or connectivity features.
• Document work and present progress to the team throughout the internship.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Available for a full‑time commitment from January 11, 2027 to August 13, 2027.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Go, C++, Java.
• Experience or familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, Redis.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, IoT Core.
