Software Engineer - Special Programs

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software for autonomous maritime platforms and edge devices. You will join a small, focused team tackling challenging problems in navigation, perception, control, and networking while operating in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software for autonomous systems and edge devices, covering navigation, perception, control, and networking.
• Create APIs and system interfaces to integrate onboard hardware, sensors, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with robotics, electrical, and mechanical engineers to rapidly deliver functional prototypes.
• Support field testing and government demonstrations, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience building complex autonomous platforms or edge devices.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and comfort working with high uncertainty and compressed timelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
