Software Engineer, ML Fabric Deployment Acceleration

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to accelerate the deployment of machine‑learning fabric across its network. The role focuses on building and maintaining core integration‑test infrastructure that enables faster, more scalable network deployment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle from planning and design to testing, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with PLANET/PIE and cross‑functional teams on API design, system integration, and requirement gathering.
• Develop and support core infrastructure used by external teams for network deployment automation.
• Provide integration‑test frameworks and assist other teams in creating and maintaining integration tests.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for critical network programs supporting next‑generation ML systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience coding in C++ and Python (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with test frameworks.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, experience with ITS SUT, and background developing integration‑test frameworks.
