Software Engineer II/III – Claims Platform

About the role

We are seeking a talented Engineer II/III to advance our Claims technology platform by designing and delivering scalable, data‑driven solutions that improve the end‑to‑end claims experience. The role involves developing innovative software applications that streamline processing, enable faster decision‑making, and integrate seamlessly across enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on technical design discussions to shape scalable solutions.
• Design, develop, implement, and test complex software using modern engineering practices and TDD.
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Participate in peer code reviews and champion software quality by identifying and resolving defects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing software solutions in an Agile environment.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Microsoft Copilot.

Required skills

• Java (8 or later, including Java 17/25 features).
• AWS services: Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB.
• Guidewire Gosu and Guidewire Cloud platforms (Policy Center, Claim Center, Billing Center).
• Angular framework for front‑end development.
• Design and consumption of RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Relational databases and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
• AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude).
