Software Engineer II – Real-Time Payments

About the role

Mastercard’s Customer Connect team is building the next generation of real‑time payment applications. As a Software Engineer II you will design, develop, and operate large‑scale distributed systems that enable domestic, cross‑border, and bill payments. The role focuses on implementing reactive architectures that support high‑performance, low‑latency transaction processing.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end software delivery tasks, including code development, testing, deployment, release, configuration, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot, refactor, and improve existing code to ensure exceptional quality and reliability.
• Adopt new programming languages and architectural patterns as required by project needs.
• Participate actively in the team’s agile process, contribute to backlog prioritization, and collaborate with global engineering teams.
• Design and implement scalable, reactive components that power real‑time payment flows.

Required profile
