Software Engineer II

About the role

The Software Engineer II will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications that power the Batch Portal platform. Working in an Agile environment, you will deliver reliable, scalable solutions that meet product road‑maps and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
• Design, implement, and maintain batch processing components, scheduled jobs, and plugin‑based extensions.
• Translate product requirements into software designs and production‑ready code.
• Apply best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and quality standards.
• Fix bugs, troubleshoot technical issues, and support operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product management, quality engineering, and operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing production‑quality software using Java or a similar language.
• Working knowledge of object‑oriented design, data structures, and the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, source‑control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team.

What we offer

• Base pay range: $71,600 – $119,400 per year (geographic differentials may apply).
