Software Engineer, Full Stack (Product)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑stack product engineer to build tools that enable self‑serve and enterprise customers to turn growth ideas into reality. You will own real product surfaces across the stack and help Clay become a creative engine for business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product end‑to‑end, collaborating with design, data science, and GTM teams to define strategy, research, implement, and maintain features.
• Act as product manager: frame problems, write specifications, prioritize work, and make trade‑off decisions.
• Engage directly with customers—join calls, read tickets, observe product usage—to validate solutions.
• Ship fast and iterate in small teams with short cycles, favoring real‑world feedback over perfection.
• Design and build full‑stack features that span backend (Python, Node.js) and frontend (React, Typescript).
• Improve the codebase by contributing to performance, reliability, and overall development velocity.
• Mentor fellow engineers and learn from peers to raise the engineering bar.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on engineering experience delivering world‑class products.
• Enjoys both product management and engineering, driving products from concept to launch.
• Moves quickly without losing focus, comfortable shipping early versions and knowing where to cut.
• Customer‑centric mindset: prefers observing product usage and can translate feedback into solutions.
• Empathetic communicator who expresses ideas clearly and prioritises curiosity in disagreements.
• Committed to craft: writes clean, bug‑free code and helps raise the team’s engineering standards.
• Values diverse perspectives and believes they improve product outcomes.
• Can quickly learn or already knows the current tech stack.
