About the role

Infosys is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Engineering unit in Austin, TX. The role focuses on building innovative, data‑first product solutions using AI, machine learning and cloud technologies to accelerate delivery and drive business value.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs and accurately document stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in design discussions, capture software specifications, and help create process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new applications, following detailed design specifications.
• Execute test plans, analyze outcomes, report defects, and support enhancements to improve software performance.
• Support integration of new features and ensure smooth transitions within existing system infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, providing prompt issue resolution and comprehensive maintenance documentation.
• Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions to enrich the team’s knowledge repository.
